Getting Started
Early Levels
When starting in this version, you will be placed in a training area under Gunters supervision. In order to progress, you will need to hit level 10 and talk to Gunter.
The first quest is to level up to 5 by hitting training dummies. After completing the quest, proceed through the reward window to get the next quest.
The second quest is to familiarize yourself with using items. At the start of the quest, you will receive a polymorph scroll and greater haste potion. After using each of these, you will level up to 10 and are now ready to talk to Gunter to progress.
After completing the training area, you will be teleported to Claudia. This is the new starting area and should be used to level up to 55. It is strongly encouraged to stay here until you are ejected due to higher exp rates and lower resource costs. When you first arrive in Claudia, you are given a gift box containing a good assortment of starter gear. The Claudia zone monsters primarily drop adena and training enchant scrolls. This should enable you to graduate the starter area with a full +6 armor set and +6 weapon(s).
The typical progression of zones in Claudia are as follows:
- Water Area A
- Water Area B
- Spider Cave
- Fields
- Swamp
- Underworld
- Sanctuary of Dead
While this is ordered in increasing difficulty, you do not need to progress through each zone. Most hunting areas offer comparable experience, so if a particular area is crowded, explore and try somewhere else.
Once you reach level 55, you will be rewarded with a Giran teleport amulet. However, you are still able to leave this area by talking with the teleport npc and going to Talking Island.
Graduation
After reaching level 55, you are now on your own and can choose your own adventure!

Tips
Blood of Claudia
Blood of Claudia is an item that can be purchased from the vendor in Claudia. The item cannot be used, but if it is present in your inventory, monsters in Claudia will aggro you.
Food and Regeneration
Please ensure you character is fed!
HP regeneration starts when your food gauge is at least 24. MP regeneration starts when your food gauge is at least 20.
Class Specific Vendors
In Talking Island town, there are specific vendors from each class that provide access to some good early game equipment and spells.
Vendors
Most vendors have the same inventory and most do not buy items. In each town, there should be an Aden Merchant npc who will buy some items ( including crystals ). If an item cannot be sold as is, you may need to use solvent to dissolve the item into crystals. Silver Knight Town is a good area to buy potions and resources until level 65.
Global Chat
Global chat requires 1000 adena per message to talk.
Soul Stones
While hunting, you may receive a Soul Stone as a drop. You can use the Soul Stone in the Giran Colosseum to spawn the respective boss. You will need to purchase keys from the hotel to enter the Colosseum. Additional keys can be shared with your friends to have them join in the fun.
Bonus Shops
There are three special vendors to note.
The first is a bunny shop in Giran ( west of Giran cross ). This shop sells important buffs for your character, most notably PC Buff coin 7 Days for 1 million adena. The PC Buff coin ( outside of actual buffs ) lets you use the teleports in the PC Town which are often shortcuts to desired hunting areas.
The second shop is the TAM vendor in Giran ( north of Giran cross ). This shop sells crests, doll boxes, and craftsman weapon enchant scrolls. This vendor used to require TAM to purchase items, but has since been changed over to adena.
The third shop is the feather vendor PC Buff town ( west of entrance ). This vendor sells trinkets, stat tshirts, and accessory enchants in exchange for Sacred Wing Feathers. Sacred Wing Feathers are a currency that can be obtained hunting Giran Prison 1F and Giran Prison 2F.
Crafting
There is a special crafting NPC in Giran ( north west of Giran cross ). This crafter can be used to craft most items.
Sealed items
Some monsters have a chance to drop a sealed version of a usually rare item. The sealed items cannot be used until they are unsealed. Unsealing items can be done by using a Leaf of Life which can be crafted in Oren. The general merchant in oren sells the Ivory Tower Magic Potions and Demon Breaths can be obtained hunting monsters in Ivory Tower. These items can be combined using the Alchemist north of dwarf in Oren. The Leaf of Life has a 5% chance to unseal the item and restore it to it’s full power.
